Outliers, Boxplots

This section covers outliers in more depth and shows how to graph the data on a boxplot.

Vocabulary

Outlier - when the data point is smaller or larger than most of the other data.

Boxplot - a graphical display of the five number summary for a single quantitative variable. 

Side by side graph - when 2 graphs are used to show the relationship between a categorical variable and a quantitative variable.
