At Garrett College, advising and academic support are integral components of the learning and teaching process and to the success of our students, both while at the College and continuing to pursue their goals after leaving the College. Faculty and staff advisors collaborate with students in the development of sound academic, personal, career and life goals in ways that are supportive, empowering and professional. In this relationship, advisors both challenge and support students as students become increasingly responsible for their own unique future planning. Ultimately, it is the individual student who is responsible for his/her future planning and the obtainment of his/her goals. Garrett College is responsible for providing resources, support and varied approaches to advising and academic support that serve its diverse student population.
