Confounding Variables

This section discusses how variables can be related to another.

Vocabulary

Association - when one variable tends to be related to the values of the other variable.

Causation - when changing the value of one variable influences the value of the other variable. 

Confounding Variable - can offer an explanation for an association between two variables of interest.
