Determining Statistical Significance

This section covers what to do when there is strong evidence against the null hypothesis.

Vocabulary

Significance Level - a boundary below which we conclude that a p-value shows statistically significant evidence against the null hypothesis.

Type I Error - to reject a true null hypothesis.

Type II Error - to fail to reject a false null hypothesis.
