Measuring Evidence with P-values

This section covers how to measure the strength of evidence of a sample against the null hypothesis and in favor of the alternative hypothesis.

Vocabulary

p-value - the probability, when the null hypothesis is true, of obtaining a sample as extreme as the observed sample. 

Randomization Distribution - all values for the statistic from all possible ways the experimental units could have been randomly assigned to groups.
